Lower Primary (Grade 1–3)

Lower Primary marks an important transition into formal schooling for children aged six to nine years. At this stage, Elyss School emphasizes strengthening core academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, Kiswahili, environmental studies and early sciences—while still maintaining a holistic, child-centered approach.

Lessons are designed to build comprehension, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Beyond academics, pupils continue developing creativity through art, music, movement, and structured play. They also learn social responsibility, teamwork, independence, and confidence in expressing themselves. Lower Primary aims to cultivate a strong academic foundation that prepares children for deeper learning, while supporting emotional growth and character development.
